We're Lucidity.
An easy-to-use technology platform that connects physicians seeking part-time or temporary work directly with medical practices looking to fill open shifts.
About Us
Anyone involved in temporary physician staffing understands the frustration of going through an agency. Physicians have little control of the process, while medical practices constantly deal with high expenses and poor credentialing. Both sides have grown weary of the lack of transparency during the hiring process.

The partnership between a physician with extensive healthcare staffing expertise and an accomplished tech entrepreneur
Dr. Rob Scott encountered this first-hand as a purchaser of locum tenens services for years. As CEO of Phoenix Physicians, Rob became all too familiar with the inefficiencies for physicians and medical practices working through an agency. There had to be a better way.

So he had an idea: Bring physicians and medical practices together with technology by creating a platform that knocks out the agency middleman.

To do this, Rob needed to combine his industry expertise with a strong technological partner, one who shared his desire to build something the market hadn’t seen before, yet sorely needed. This partner was Rajeev Dharmapurikar.

Rajeev had already succeeded as a tech entrepreneur, building and eventually selling Advisestream, a pre-health advising solution. His passion for altering an industry through technology fueled him to build the platform with Rob. And in early 2014, the journey to create Lucidity began.

But what would the platform feature?
The team was committed to addressing every physician and medical practice pain point, and offer something better that didn’t exist in the current marketplace. For physicians, this meant personalizing pay rates, getting complete job details before pursuing an opportunity, and directly negotiating pay with the medical practice. For medical practices, it meant getting provider credentials up front, customizing job offers, and scheduling shifts directly with providers. And much, much more.

Over the next two years, Lucidity’s team of seasoned developers meticulously built one screen at a time, while consulting with potential users of the technology. When it all came together, the team had created a user-centric, two-sided platform offering a transparent staffing solution unique to the industry. In late 2016, Lucidity launched to physicians and medical practices.

A revolution in healthcare staffing
Today, Lucidity’s platform is progressing as a new marketplace for locum tenens staffing. The need for the efficient hiring of quality physicians is great, and for the first time physicians and medical practices are discovering that locums can be simple. By connecting on the Lucidity platform, both sides can thrive from locums services—without the agency.
